When someone comments a keyword you have chosen on your Instagram post or reel, HookSend automatically sends them a direct message containing whatever you want them to receive: a product link, a discount code, a lead form, or a set of shoppable product cards. It runs on the official Meta Graph API, so it never needs your Instagram password.
Yes. HookSend uses Instagram's official Graph API through Meta's authorised OAuth flow. It does not automate a browser, does not scrape, and never asks for your password. Sending is throttled below Meta's documented rate limit for private replies, and access tokens are encrypted before storage.
Yes. Meta only permits comment-to-DM automation on professional accounts, so your Instagram account must be set to Business or Creator. Switching is free and takes under a minute in the Instagram app.
The Free plan is ₹0$0 for 1,000 DMs a month on one Instagram account, which covers comment-to-DM with the opening message and link DM. Starter is ₹99$3.50 per month for 7,000 DMs, 2 Instagram accounts and no AI credits. Pro is ₹249$9 per month for 20,000 DMs, 3 Instagram accounts and 200 AI credits. Business is ₹499$17 per month for 50,000 DMs, 6 Instagram accounts and 1,000 AI credits. Growth is ₹899$25 per month for 1,00,000 DMs, 8 Instagram accounts, 2,000 AI credits, 3 knowledge bases and 3 DM flows. Agency is ₹1,599$40 per month for 1,50,000 DMs, 10 Instagram accounts, 5,000 AI credits, 10 knowledge bases and 10 DM flows. On the Free plan or any paid plan you can add 3,000 more DMs for ₹100$5. Two days before it ends you get an email, and another when it ends. Then your workspace moves to the Free plan automatically: 1,000 DMs a month on one Instagram account, with the opening message and link DM. Story replies, the follow gate, product carousels, lead capture and follow-up sequences pause until you choose a paid plan, and knowledge bases and DM flows until you choose Growth or Agency. Nothing is deleted. Your campaigns, tracked links and storefront all stay exactly as they are.
Each direct message HookSend sends on your behalf counts as one. The allowance is per workspace, not per Instagram account, and it resets on the same day of each month that your subscription started, not on the first of the calendar month.
Yes. On the Free plan or any paid plan you can add DMs in packs of 3,000 for ₹100$5, from the billing page. They are used only after your monthly DMs run out, the ones that expire first are used first, and each pack lasts 30 days from the day you buy it.
In India, by UPI: you are shown a QR code and a UPI link on our own payment page. Everywhere else, by card, on the HookSend checkout page, where the card form is run by Dodo Payments, who process card payments for us and add any sales tax or VAT your country charges. Either way the purchase activates the moment the payment is confirmed, usually within a few seconds, and nothing is ever charged again automatically.
Yes. Plans are monthly and do not auto-renew, so there is nothing to cancel in the usual sense. A plan simply ends on its expiry date unless you choose to continue. You keep full access until then.
Yes. Free covers 1 account, Starter 2, Pro 3, Business 6, Growth 8 and Agency 10. All of them are managed from one workspace, which is how agencies run several clients side by side.
Both. Comments on posts and reels trigger a private reply on every plan, including Free. Story replies and story mentions trigger a DM on the paid plans (Starter and above), as does follow-gating, where the DM only goes to people who follow you.
A carousel is a scrollable set of product cards delivered inside the DM, each with an image, price and buy button. It is available on the Pro plan and above.
A knowledge base lets the AI answer DMs from your own FAQ, PDF or web page, in the language the question was asked in, and each answer it sends uses your AI credits. A DM flow is a guided conversation in the DMs, with buttons and questions. Both come with Growth (3 knowledge bases and 3 flows) and Agency (10 knowledge bases and 10 flows), and on those plans you can add more for ₹49$3 each, lasting 30 days. The 15-day free trial includes 2 knowledge bases and 2 DM flows to try, though extra ones cannot be bought during the trial. Free, Starter, Pro and Business include neither.
Every workspace gets a public storefront page at hooksend.in/u/yourhandle: a shoppable grid of your tagged posts plus your bio links, designed to sit in your Instagram bio. It is included on every plan.
Yes. HookSend has an MCP connector at https://hooksend.in/api/mcp that works with Claude, Codex, Antigravity or any client supporting the Model Context Protocol. You create a token in Settings, paste it into your AI client, and can then ask for a campaign, describe a DM flow and have it built, or ask which of your posts got the most reach. No. No tool in the MCP connector deletes a campaign, a flow or a knowledge base: where the dashboard can delete, the connector pauses or archives instead, so it can be undone. The few actions that genuinely cannot be undone, such as removing comments from Instagram or sending someone a DM, refuse the first request and make your AI check with you first. Buying, billing, inviting colleagues and managing the tokens all refuse an AI client outright. Everything it does runs through the same plan limits as the dashboard, and revoking the token stops it immediately.
Yes, if you ask within 24 hours of paying and nothing from that purchase has been used. For a plan, used means any DM sent or any AI credit spent after the payment. For extra DMs, AI credits, knowledge bases or flows, it means any part of the purchase. To ask, open a support ticket from your dashboard with the "Refund request" category and include your order ID. Requests by email aren't accepted. A duplicate payment, or a payment where the plan never activated, is always refunded in full. The full policy is at https://hooksend.in/refund-policy.
