HookSend uses AI to read comments, catch brand offers and write your DMs. Credits are how that work is measured. Here is exactly what a credit is, what each action costs, and how long they last, so nothing on your balance comes as a surprise.

Scoring one comment for spam, abuse or intent so it can be hidden, allowed or replied to. Charged only for comments the AI actually reads.

A "Let the AI choose the path" step reads one reply and decides which of your paths it belongs on. DM flows come with the Growth and Agency plans. When credits run out the chat takes the step's Otherwise path instead.

Reading your uploaded PDF or FAQ to answer one incoming DM, in the language it was asked in. Knowledge bases come with the Growth and Agency plans. Charged only when an answer is actually sent. If your document doesn't cover the question, you are not charged.

Drafting or rewriting the message a campaign sends. Charged once per campaign a month. After that you can regenerate and tweak within that campaign as much as you like, free.

How many you get each month
Every paid plan with AI includes a monthly allowance, shared across everything the AI does. Because only about one comment in 4 reaches the AI, these go a good deal further than the number suggests.

The rules, in full
Comments are charged only when the AI runs
Free rules handle the obvious comments first, so only about one in 4 ever reaches the AI. One credit covers roughly 4 comments checked, and you are never charged for a comment the AI did not look at.
Campaign AI is charged once per campaign, not per click
Building a campaign from a link, or using the AI copy assistant on it, takes credits the first time you do it in a month. After that, regenerating and refining within that same campaign is free.
Plan credits refresh every month
Your plan's monthly credits are topped back up at the start of each billing month. They do not roll over, so an unused balance does not stack up and each month starts clean at your plan's allowance.
Bought credits last 30 days
Top-up credits are valid for 30 days from the day you buy them, independent of your plan. If your plan happens to end tomorrow, credits you bought today are still there for the full 30 days.
The soonest-to-expire credits are used first
When you spend, HookSend always draws from whichever pool expires next, so nothing is wasted while a later-expiring balance sits unused.
Credits need an eligible plan to spend
AI features run on plans that include AI. If a plan lapses, any credits you still hold are not taken away. They wait, and become spendable again once you are back on an eligible plan.
Where to see your balance
Your live credit balance and what you have spent are shown in your dashboard, on the Comment Guard and Collabs screens where credits are used, and on the billing page, where you can also top up. It updates in real time as the AI works.
